Best Practices for Installing Speakers
Speaker Placement / Spacing
- Position speakers evenly along hallways for consistent sound.
- A good rule of thumb: The distance between speakers should be about twice the ceiling height. For example, with a 10-foot ceiling, place speakers 20 feet apart.
- Slightly overlap coverage patterns (120° or 180°) to avoid hot spots and uneven sound.

- Ceiling-Mounted: Mount flush with the ceiling for wide coverage.
- Wall-Mounted: Place at 6-8 ft, angled downward if ceiling mounting isn’t possible.
- Avoid placing obstructions between speakers and listeners.
